Growing up in Manchester in the late 90s and early 2000s, MXWLL developed a love of music from his mum who would often play Gypsy Woman by Crystal Waters loud enough for all to hear. His love for the house and trance music scene soon developed and his love for music started to play a huge part in his childhood.
Drawn to house music through its drums and use of motown and funk samples, MXWLL is inspired by DJs and producers who are at the top of the house scene, playing in front of thousands of fans on a regular basis. This is what keeps him focused and gives him the drive and work ethic to succeed. He is also inspired by Kerri Chandler, Frankie Knuckles, Carl Cox and Pepe Bradock, who he describes as “house Godfathers.”
As his careers moves forward, MXWLL hopes to play festivals and play his music to a variety of different communities and cultures. He is currently fine tuning his production in the studio as well as networking and collaborating with a variety of creative people.
